Mac Skelton’s research has focused on how Iraq's ongoing cancer crisis is understood by Iraqi families seeking cancer care abroad. He conducted fieldwork at a Beirut hotel where hundreds of Iraqi cancer patients have lodged over the past few years due to the war-related deterioration of medical care in Iraq.
